About Petstachio

Petstachio answers the everyday questions pet owners actually ask: Why does my dog do that? Can my cat eat this? What do I really need to buy? The site has been sharing practical pet advice since 2016.

Who’s behind Petstachio

Petstachio is run by Derek from Chicago, IL. Derek and his wife share their home with four rescues:

  • Gracie, a Yorkshire Terrier who turns 15 in December
  • Sabrina, a Poodle/Bichon Frise mix, around 8 years old (her exact age is a mystery)
  • Max, a 12-year-old orange tabby
  • Molly, Max’s sister, a 12-year-old buff tabby

Over the years they’ve shared their home with 10 dogs and cats. Life with senior pets, small dogs, and cats and dogs living under one roof is everyday life in this house, and that’s the perspective behind the questions we tackle here.
